The University of Idaho Integrated Design Lab in Boise [IDL] is dedicated to the development of high-performing energy efficient buildings in the Intermountain West. This is approached through research, education and outreach efforts with students, owners, and professional design and construction teams to transform design practice and keep pace with technologies, materials and methods of construction that best meet the needs of building owners and society in general. Those who utilize the resources available through the IDL will design and construct buildings that are more comfortable for people, follow best practice design approaches, require less energy to maintain and operate, and enhance the health and productivity of inhabitants.
The Integrated Design Lab's office, The Water Center, will remain closed until we are directed by the President of the University that it is safe to open up in-person operations. Therefore, during social distancing the IDL will be working remotely and providing what services we can. For a list of our services available during the COVID-19 Pandemic, please see below. This is subject to change at any time as we adhere to social distance requirements from our multiple sponsors.

BSUG will resume in July 2020 with the topic of The State of Autodesk Simulation Software. The format of this lecture and all lectures for the rest of the year will be online webinar. We will still be giving away door prizes for attendees but will be unable to provide lunch, we apologize for this. Door prizes winners must reside in the Idaho Power service territory.
We are still offering our services for projects during this time, however, all request must be through email or phone. Furthermore, all meetings will done via Zoom webinar, no exceptions. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the Tool Loan Library. However, we now have developed a contact-less drop-off and pick-up procedures to resume our normal operations with the exception that the library is by appointment only. You must have an appointment scheduled to use the Tool Loan Library, no exceptions will be made.
To use the Tool Loan Library, please fill out a proposal as you normally would and you will be contacted by a Lab employee to schedule your appointment within 1 to 2 business days. During this time same day request will not be fulfilled. While the Lab has made exceptions to the processing time in the past with these new procedures we are unable to do so, we apologize for the inconvenience.
