Days, months and sometimes years can pass by with boilers operating at lower-than-desired efficiencies, costing significant amounts of operating capital due to the increased energy usage.
Operational efficiency is important both in terms of fuel costs and as a major contributor to CO2 emissions. Ensuring the proper efficient operation of boilers, often at remote sites, can be challenge for many businesses.
Typical uses include:

UX120-006M
Measures - Data Logging
Description:
The HOBO 4-Channel Analog data logger has 16-bit resolution and can record up to 1.9 million measurements or events. The four external channels accept a variety of sensors, including temperature and split-core AC current sensors as well as 4-20 mA and voltage input cables (sold separately). You can set up burst logging in which the logger records data at a different interval during certain conditions. The logger can also calculate minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation statistics. Built-in LCD screen to check current readings and to monitor logging status, battery use, and memory consumption in between readouts

Dent CONTACTlogger
Measures - Operating Schedule
The CONTACTlogger™, Model TOU-C, for monitoring relay closures, switches, and digital on/off signals. TOU SMARTloggers are single channel, on-off status data loggers. They are designed to provide Total On-Time and Time-Of-Use (TOU) information about energy consuming devices with a constant power draw as well as the operating schedule for any device. The TOUs record the time to the second that a device turns on, and then again when it turns off. The data saved to the logger’s memory is a series of on-off transitions and time stamps.

Temperature Sensor
Measures - Temperature in Air, Water, or Soil
A temperature sensor for use with HOBO U-Series external-channel data loggers, this model measures temperature in air, water, or soil. Accuracy and resolution vary according with attached logger model. Measurement range is -40° to 50°C (-40° to 122°F) in water or soil, -40° to 100°C (-40° to 212°F) in air; response time is minutes typical to 90% in air moving 1 m/sec (2.2 mph); response time in stirred water is 1 minute typical to 90%.

Temperature Sensor 20'
Measures - Temperature in Air, Water, or Soil
Measure temperature in air, water, or soil with the 6.1m (20 ft) TMC20-HD temperature sensor. This product is designed to be used with HOBO USeries, UX120-006M external-channel data loggers or ZW series wireless datanodes. This sensor records temperatures between -40° and 50°C (-40° to 122°F) in water or soil, and between -40° and 100°C (-40° to 212°F) in air. This product provides a response time of minutes typical to 90% in air moving 1 m/sec (2.2 mph); and 1 minute typical to 90% response time in stirred water. Please note, accuracy and resolution depend on data logger.
